Yes, this has NOTHING to do with Seattle but we DO have readers elsewhere, including the Bay Area, and the lovely, lovely artist Tennessee Loveless is a FORMER Seattlite, albeit briefly, and he did a couple of art shows for me at the LGBT Center and I LOVE his paintings so I’m going to plug him…so to speak. Tenn has a sexy new show opening this Sunday, December 5 at the Glamarama Salon and Gallery at 304 Valencia Street in San Francisco with an opening reception from 6pm to 9pm and it’s called“Dragged in Color”.  If you’re not familiar with Mr Loveless’s art work, you should be…it’s big, bold, bright, vibrant and it’s Pop Kulture specific…he’s not into the whole, “I’m going to paint a rainbow, or a mountain, or a tree, or a laughing child” brand of art. It’s all celebrities, cartoon characters, drag queens and pop music icons. The San Francisco show features his salute to his favorite drag queens,  including Ambrosia Salad, Varla Jean Merman, and Peaches Christ displayed in a riotous display of Day Glo colors, which is ironic because Tenn is color blind!

Yeah, I know…it’s crazy, isn’t it? But, it’s true. Also: a great marketing tool!

And, for more things Tennessee Loveless, available to EVERYONE with a computer, check out his weekly dj’d podcast, “Beautiful Noise Broadcast”. Every Friday he posts a new set of beautiful mash-ups/mixes and tracks for truly beautiful people…it soothes, yet stimulates, the mind and the senses.

San Frannies, check out the art show.

Everyone else, check out the tunes.
